By accessing or using Linus ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Linus is an AI-powered assistant platform that helps you manage tasks, information, and workflows through conversational interfaces.

2. Description of Service

Linus provides AI-powered assistance tools including but not limited to:

  • Conversational AI assistance and task management
  • Information organization and retrieval
  • Workflow automation and scheduling
  • Document processing and analysis
  • Third-party integrations and API connections
  • SMS/text message notifications and alerts
  • Data export and backup capabilities

3. Account Registration

To use Linus, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Ensuring your account information remains current and accurate

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. SMS/Text Message Terms

By providing your phone number and enabling SMS notifications, you consent to receive automated text messages from Linus including:

  • Account verification codes and security alerts
  • Service notifications and important updates
  • Reminders and alerts you have configured
  • Responses to your requests or inquiries

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity and notification settings. You control which notifications you receive through your account settings.

Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan.

How to Opt Out: You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message you receive from us
  • Disabling SMS notifications in your account settings
  • Contacting us at support@heyollie.com to remove your phone number

Carrier Disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We are not responsible for charges from your mobile carrier. SMS services are provided through third-party providers including Twilio.

Supported Carriers: SMS services are supported on most major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Service availability may vary by carrier and location.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

Linus may offer subscription options. Specific plans and pricing will be displayed at the time of purchase. General billing terms:

Billing: Subscriptions are billed according to their stated billing cycle. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

Trial Periods: If a free trial is offered, it begins upon signup. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription.

6. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Linus, including conversations, documents, and other data ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and process your User Content to provide the Service
  • Create backups for data protection purposes
  • Display your content back to you within the application

We will not sell, share, or use your personal data for advertising purposes. Your data remains yours, and you may export or delete it at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Attempt to circumvent AI safety measures or extract harmful content

8. Third-Party Integrations

Linus may integrate with third-party services. When you connect third-party accounts:

  • You authorize us to access and sync data as permitted by your integration settings
  • Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies
  • We are not responsible for third-party service availability or data handling
  • You may disconnect integrations at any time through your account settings

9. AI Features Disclaimer

Linus includes AI-powered features. Please note:

  • AI suggestions are informational and should not replace professional advice
  • AI responses may occasionally contain inaccuracies; verify important information independently
  • We continuously improve our AI but do not guarantee accuracy of all outputs
  • AI features may be updated or modified to improve functionality and safety

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Linus, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linus, Inc. shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Actions taken based on AI recommendations
  • Third-party service failures or data breaches
  • Delayed or undelivered SMS messages
  • Charges from your mobile carrier

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through account settings or by contacting support. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to access the Service will cease immediately
  • You may request a data export before termination
  • We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes
  • SMS messaging to your phone number will stop

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
